I was a little nervous when asked to be a doula for a fellow doula:
Just to say thank you for all your help with E's birth. I really don't think the outcome would have been so positive without the constant support and confidence boost that having you there meant.
I do feel completely empowered and in awe of what my body can do and feel it will also make me a better doula when I return to the role.
Thank you once again from all of us. It has made E's birth a happy family event rather than something to recover from!

Thank you very much for being our doula for the birth of our baby girl C. We found great value in the antenatal meetings, during which we were able to freely ask questions and discuss what birth was all about. It provided us with great preparation for the d-day!
On the day your presence was invaluable. The energy and faith you provided me played a huge part in succeeding in the natural birth I wished for.
I hope my next birth will be with you by my side!

Having your support made such a difference to my labour, particularly following two previous traumatic experiences....this then allowed me to spend those first previous minutes together with J in a very unhurried way.
It all left me with very positive and happy emotions and I would not hesitate to use - not that we are planning any more children (!) - or recommend you to others.

Some words from a father's perspective:
At no time did I feel threatened by your presence and at no time did you try to edge me out. The act of childbirth is such a personal and private event and neither H nor I ever felt that you became intrusive. It was a pleasure to have you in the team...also I doubt whether S would have had such a wonderful introcution into the world.

Birth can be unpredictable and unfortunately T's baby needed to be rushed to SCBU:
I just wanted to say thank you for being there for me when it counted. I was so grateful to have you there when L was taken away. It would be lovely to see you if you're ever over this way now that L is home with us.
